Algal Innovation Centre spearheads department’s new video channel

Brand new videos on the Plant Metabolism Research group and the Algal Innovation Centre launched the department’s new Youtube channel this week.

They feature insight and comment from the staff and students who help make the group and centre two of the leading research entities of their type in the world.

More videos are in preparation, and the channel will also soon feature some of our earlier videos on departmental projects and initiatives, including the recently completed TIGR2ESS project run by the Global Food Interdisciplinary Research Centre.

Video 1: The Algal Innovation Centre is one of a handful in the country with the capacity to support start-ups and other small-scale research and innovation initiatives.

Video 2: The Plant Metabolism Research Group researches several aspects of the metabolism of plants, algae and bacteria, in particular vitamin and cofactor biosynthesis.
