Induction Manual, Information about the Department, Health and Safety Handbook

Please ensure you have had your photo taken (this will appear on your your web page - which you can opt out of). 

To access the computer systems YOU WILL NEED Raven access.  This comes with an email address.  Reception@plantsci can put in the request for you online.

Accounts@plantsci or Reception will provide you with a temporary access card until your permanent one arrives (if you’re staying more than a few months).

You can download the 2019/20 handbook in it's entirety.  The forms referred to can also be downloaded separately below. Check the What's changed recently page for amendments to the handbook because we haven't published the 2020/21 version yet.  Also look at the Coronavirus section of the intranet (you will need Raven access) and the Returning to Workplace pack.

Please fill in and return the forms relevant to you:

Personnel Record form (Form B Everybody
Application for a free Botanic Garden pass  (Form C) Everyone except Part II/Grad Students (assuming you want access)
Occupational Health form Academic/Assistant Staff

Sign the Safety Compliance form (Form A) after you have read the Induction Handbook, keep one copy and return one copy to the Departmental Safety Manager.

Don't forget to check the What's changed recently page every so often for updates to the handbook.

 

 

The Department has carried out a comprehensive COVID-19 risk assessment process and has opened to allow research work to take place. To ensure the safety of our staff, a range of measures to reduce building occupancy and allow strict social distancing have been introduced, including increased cleaning and hygiene regimes.
