We are delighted to be able to announce the following promotions from 1 October for members of our academic staff:
Personal Professorship
- Julia M Davies, Professor of Stress Signalling
For her contributions to our understanding of the role of transport proteins, particularly in roots, in sensing environmental stresses and mediating responses to them - Ian R Henderson, Professor of Genetics and Epigenetics
For his contribution to understanding recombination processes in plants, enabling novel strategies to generate genetic variation in plant breeding
University Senior Lecturer
- Samuel Brockington, who combines being Curator of the Botanic Garden with research on the origin, evolution and diversification of the plant kingdom
