Professor Alison Smith, Head of Plant Metabolism in the Department of Plant Sciences at Cambridge University, speaks about the difficulties in moving forward with EU research collaborations. As well as affecting opportunities for collaborative funding applications, there is a real anxiety amongst the many EU nationals who live and work in the UK, and contribute to the excellent UK science base.
