Stéphanie and Katie

Dr Stéphanie Swarbreck has returned from maternity leave to take up a Broodbank Fellowship.  This appointment follows on from the award of an EU Marie Curie Re-Integration Fellowship, with additional funding from the Newton Trust.  Stéphanie will continue her research on signalling in root-root interactions. Her latest paper, joint with Renato Colaço, is an invited Update for Plant physiology and is now available: http://www.plantphysiol.org/content/early/2013/07/16/pp.113.220855.full.pdf+html.

Dr Katie Wilkins joins the group from Purdue University to examine mechanisms of ozone sensing. Katie is funded by the BBSRC for three years as a post-doctoral researcher in a joint project with the University of Lancaster.  She will be assisted by Dr Adeeba Dark, who is also funded by this project.

The Department has carried out a comprehensive COVID-19 risk assessment process and has opened to allow research work to take place. To ensure the safety of our staff, a range of measures to reduce building occupancy and allow strict social distancing have been introduced, including increased cleaning and hygiene regimes.
