Plant-Parasite/Pathogen Interactions based at the Crop Science Centre
Biography
After a PhD at the INRAE (National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment) in Nancy, France where I studied the molecular dialogue between the ectomycorrhizal fungus Laccaria bicolor and the poplar tree Populus trichocarpa, I moved to the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology in Marburg, Germany in order to study the virulence program of the corn smut fungus Ustilago maydis. I have been recently awarded a Marie-Sklodowska Curie Individual European Fellowship to decipher the cyst nematode parasitic program and better understand how their pathogenicity is orchestrated.
