Plant-Parasite/Pathogen Interactions

Biography

I work as a bioinformatician researcher, studying the hyper-variable (HYP) effectors of plant-parasitic nematodes. These are single-gene loci that can have a vast numver of different alleles, and this variation follows specific rules. I’m trying to figure out where HYPs occur, how they are organized, and what their function might be in the ongoing battle between pathogens and their hosts.
