Research overview

I have a background in geospatial analysis and apply my expertise in topics pertaining to crop pests invasions and food security. Currently, I am working on modelling the spatial distribution of cassava, designing sampling strategies for disease detection and monitoring the spread and prevalence of cassava pathogens.

Biography

I am originally from Poznan, Poland and received my MSc and PhD at the Geography Department, University of Florida (USA), where I collaborated with Emerging Pathogens Institute, Dept. of Entomology and Nematology, and USDA-APHIS in Raleigh, NC. I worked for five years as a research scientist in Evolution and Epidemiology Modelling group at Rothamsted Research (UK) with Frank van den Bosch. Starting in October 2018, I joined the Epidemiological Modelling group at the University of Cambridge led by Prof. Chris Gilligan.
