Research Overview
My PhD sought to answer the question: “Can sustainable agriculture mitigate climate change while improving food security?” To do so, I combined meta-analysis, life cycle analysis, and machine learning approaches to holistically assess the impacts of sustainable agricultural practices on staple crop production, soil carbon sequestration, and net climate mitigation at local, national, and global scales. My postdoctoral research will involve assessing the impacts of fires in agricultural systems on emissions and health outcomes.
