Research Overview
My MPhil research is investigating how effectively Colombia’s Protected Area network covers the ranges of microendemic orchid species and identifying unprotected hotspots of diversity that could be prioritised for future conservation. This research builds on my undergraduate literature review, which explored how microendemic species – those with highly restricted ranges – are often left behind by large-scale conservation efforts.
