Biography
I joined the Patron group in 2023, first as a visitor from the Earlham Institute (2023-2026), then as a member of Cambridge's Department of Plant Sciences (2026-now).

Research Overview
I study how different cell types in the roots of Arabidopsis and tomato respond to low nitrogen (N) in their environment using scRNAseq. Knowledge obtained from the scRNA-seq is then be used to guide the cell-type specific engineering of N responses using CRISPR and dCas-based synthetic activators and repressors.
