Research Overview
I am an aquatic ecologist undertaking research in both freshwater and marine environments. Our group provides research that is applied to on-the-ground conservation action focused on vegetated coastal ecosystems, such as mangrove forests and saltmarshes. Projects use remote sensing and spatial datasets to understand ecosystem change, conservation opportunities and ecosystem services for coastal ecosystems at landscape and global scales. The work provides a critical tool for encouraging restoration and enabling robust, data-driven policy changes and investments.
