Biography

I joined the Centre for Landscape Regeneration, which sits within Plant Sciences, from the Russell Group, where I spent just over a year working on research and innovation policy. Before that I was a civil servant, mostly at HM Treasury, where I worked across public spending and international finance policy including stints in the Treasury's European negotiations advisory team and heading up the royal finances division. More recently I spent some time living in New Zealand and working for the NZ government on justice, policing, and security matters.
