I graduated in Environmental Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and earned a Master's degree in Ecosystem Restoration at the Universidad de Alcalá. Last year, I completed my PhD degree in forest restoration at the Basque Centre for Climate Change-BC3.
During the next two years I will be part of the former Ecosystems and Global Change Group as a Newton International Fellow. My research interest focuses on the processes driving the recovery of ecosystems after disturbances. During this postdoc, I will investigate the long-term recovery trajectories of human-disturbed temperate forests by looking at crucial biotic interactions. This will help us to understand how to better measure ecosystem recovery and the real time ecosystems need to recover.
