Title: The impacts of climate on ecosystem phenology and carbon cycling
Phenology has been validated as a strong mechanism to detect changes in seasonal plant activity. Variations of phenological events are closely linked to the behaviour of carbon and water cycle in forests and may be a sensitive and easily observable indicator of climate change. The aim of this study is to verify and quantify fluctuations of CO2 fluxes and determine their relation with phenological events observed during the growing season in a temperate forest in the UK.
