Alexander James Keith Studentship

A postgraduate studentship for studies which are related to agriculture, and fundamental science underpinning agriculture, is available for tenure within the Department of Plant Sciences. Candidates are encouraged to review the projects on the Department's website and to contact potential supervisors directly for further details.

The studentship is typically tenable for up to three years and includes the University Composition Fee, a contribution towards research expenses and a living allowance at the standard UK Research Council Doctoral stipend levels (£15,285 2020/21 rate).

Applicants are automatically considered when applying for postgraduate study by the University’s Funding deadline (7th January 2021).

Applicants seeking to join this programme should apply to the Department of Plant Sciences in the first instance. The Department will assess and select eligible applicants for each programme and submit for consideration, if an initial Departmental evaluation and interview are successful. More details of funding opportunities are available.  Application procedures can be found here.
