Matthew Dorling

Matthew Dorling is an old member of the group, having joined in 2000. He serves as laboratory manager, attempting to keep the lab functioning, clean and tidy, as well as maintaining a hold on the purse strings. He is often to be found in the greenhouse, where he grows a wide range of delightful plants - snapdragon, beetle daisy, buckwheat and many others, as well as the less delightful Arabidopsis. He also superintends the Bee Behavioural Facility and looks after the bumblebees therein. He helps organise and run some first year practical classes (with the Teaching Lab staff) and also maintains the department's imaging equipment.
