PhD studentships

If the research on my website interests you, please feel free to get in touch . If you don't hear from me within a few days, send me a reminder.

The Department advertises studentships for domestic and European students in November, with a January closing date. Check the Departmental website for details. These studentships are not allocated to specific research-group leaders: applicants are interviewed by the Graduate Education Committee and the best students are awarded the grants. Contact David Coomes for an informal discussion before filling in the forms

University scholarships are available for outstanding non-European students external link, with a 1st December deadline for Applicant Portal application

Students from developing countries interested in working with lidar may be eligible for a Schlumberger scholarship https://www.fftf.slb.com/

We welcome researchers coming with their own financial support
